How to Create an Instant Alias - WSP

An Instant Alias(AKA Temorary URL) is typically used when your domain has not completed propagation.   

• Create an Instant Alias
• Delete an Instant Alias

Creating an Instant Alias

To create an Instant Alias:

1. Log into your WebsitePanel Hosting Space.
2. Click Domains.

   

3. Click on the domain needing a temporary domain.

   

4. Click Create Instant Alias under the Instant Alias section.

   

   Note: Once created, your temporary URL will be formatted as http://yourdomain.com.servername.com.
5. Click Save to save the changes to your domain.

   

Deleting an Instant Alias

To delete an instant alias:

1. Log into your WebsitePanel Hosting Space.

   

2. Click on Domains.
3. Click on the domain needing the Instant Alias deleted.

   

4. Click Delete Instant Alias under the Instant Alias section.

   

5. Click OK in the dialog box to to confirm the deletion.

   

6. Click Save to save the changes to your domain.
