Remote Desktop Connection - WSP

Customers with WebsitePanel on VPSClass ASP or Dedicated Servers have full administrator access to the server via Remote Desktop Connection(RDP).  The server you are connecting to (your Arvixe Server) is referred to as the host computer, while the computer you are using to establish the connection is referred to as the client or remote computer.

Connecting to your server

To connect to your host (Arvixe) server, do the following:

1. On Windows 7, 8, or 10; click the Start Menu
2. Type Remote Desktop Connection in the search bar and click on the Remote Desktop Connection icon
3. Type the servername(hostname) of the computer in question and click Connect.  (You can also use the server IP if you have not updated the nameservers for the domain).

Note: Your RDP login information is provided in the welcome email under RDP Access Information.

Disconnecting from your server

To end a the Remote Desktop session:

1. Click the Start Menu
2. Click the username located on the upper right corner and click Sign Out
