The amount of memory shown on my VPS is not what I ordered

When logging into your server for the first time you may notice that your reported RAM is less than the plan you signed up for.  Don’t Panic!

The full amount of memory that you currently pay for is absolutely your own. Our virtualization system uses what is known as Dynamic Memory.

  • If your system is lying idle, for instance, only a portion of your allocated memory may show as available to you. This allows our host machines to provide resources where they need to go, quickly and efficiently.
  • As your system ramps up and requires more memory, the amount of RAM specific to your account will be allocated to your server as needed.
  • If you paid for 8GB of RAM, 8GB is ready for you whenever your server requires it. Dynamic memory allows us to provide RAM on the fly to all of our customers right when they need it most, while conserving power and other resources during idle times.
