What is the difference between Groups and Lists in DNP?

A group is a large forwarder. So I can setup email1 -> email2 & email3 & email4 instead of setting up 3 forwarders. With a list, it's more of a discussion type setup. All emails are within this list and can send email to the email address of the list which gets sent to all other members. The list can be set to receive emails only from members or non-members as well.
