Setting Up Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac
This article assumes that you have already created an email address in cPanel or Plesk.
- Open the Tools menu
- Click Accounts
- Click E-mail Account
- Enter the following information in the fields provided:
- Email Address: The email address you created in cPanel
- Password: Password for the email account created in cPanel
- User Name: the full email address
- Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server: You can obtain your incoming and outgoing mail using this article
Note: You may need to check the box to Override default port and use port 26 instead of the default port 25.
- Click Add Account.
Enable SMTP Authentication
Once the email account is created, you will need to enable SMTP Authentication.
- Open the Tools menu
- Click Accounts
- Click Email Account
- Click More options
- From the Authentication dropdown menu, choose Use Incoming Server Info
- Click OK
